Type 1 Diabetes and AAS

I'm new to the forum here. Joined at request of a long time member. I am a type 1 diabetic, diagnosed as of 2008. (Type 1 is NOT similar to type 2 for those that don't know).

Are there any other type 1's here on the board that have ran cycles, and if so what were the effects on your blood sugar?

I am nearing the end of my first (injectable) cycle of test e (500mg/week) and masteron prop (400mg/week). The cycle was a major success, blood sugars were stable throughout the cycle. I did have to take about twice as much insulin as usual but that was no issue. I realize most compounds will cause a slight decrease in insulin sensitivity (otherwise known as insulin resistance). I know there are not many type 1's out there, especially that use AAS, so I figured sharing and gaining some knowledge would be nice.

I do not have diabetes but your question is a good one. I hope others chime in

Hey brother, I am not a type one diabetic but I do have a tendency to get hypoglycemic when using trenbolone. So this is one compound to be cautious with if your ever inclined to use it.

Flyingfox, I have heard that from numerous people. Saving tren for future use, but I have a slight feeling it wont cause as much insulin resistance as some other compounds do. I can deal with hypoglycemia much better than I can deal with hyperglycemia. When my blood sugar gets up to 250-300 mg/dl I want to rage for no reason haha.

warren i am def no doc but i would think that with your condition or anyone with either type of diabetes you would look to avoid anything that may hamper your liver. i am pretty sure that the liver gal bladder and pancreas are all tied together in functioning and stressing any of those three could impact your sugar. now that is just me guessing and i am no doc lol. i would think that test and deca or test eq or even test mast would have nil effect on you but when you get to tren orals or even inj winny. these could increase the risk more so than the others. i am sure you could do burst runs with them as long as you kept on top of things and like i said i am just guessing. i would love to learn more about this stuff myself

He's right about the test/mast combo for sure. I ran in and it didn't have any adverse affects on my blood sugar. The test/deca I am actually about to start in Sept. so we will see how that goes. Luckily I do stay on top of monitoring very well. I'm quite paranoid in that aspect. I'll update and let you all know how the test/deca works. I just finished post cycle from the test/mast combo and kept every damn ounce of my gains with the help of some igf-1 (love that shit for bridging). IGF-1 actually increased my insulin sensitivity, was taking about 3/4 insulin compared to what I would usually take.

orals like t-bol var etc will make your blood suger levels drop initially 1st few weeks afew hours after being consumed, but after a few weeks I found I became very resistant to insulin and had to increase my dosages massively.

Tren seemed to have a huge impact on glucose levels, but test does not I have run dosage low to high from TNE to test e and they all seem very manageable regardless of ester and I didn't have to change much up.

The bottom line is you can cycle with diabetes, you just like with everything have to plan, be aware and constantly monitor yourself and you can cycle great. If you have bad control and are a train wreck then forget it but cycling shouldn't an issue as long as you monitor and take care bro.

you may respond slightly different to me but by checking your suger levels and adjusting things you will be fine, just be sure to run things simply and add 1 thing at a time in order to calculate what's doing what and how to control your levels.

I am type 1 too btw.
