  • Need advise from those experienced in surgery...

Ok guys and gals, Mr high pain tolerance jus found out his knee injury back in May way a completely torn ACL in my right knee. I have a great specialist here in AZ who works with professional athletes and get ls them back fast.

He is dumb founded I've been getting around let alone training with the guys I train with and perform my demanding job.

Needless to say they are tossing me into surgery ASAP, they wanted to do it next week but I pushed it off until the 13th of Feb.

Question is I'm on 750mg test, 600 mg of deca, 4iu daily of gh, prami at night (4 days a week), and T3 (which I will be done with on fri)...

Do I drop everything? Seems pointless it will all be in my system...OR stay on as is? OR drop my dose down?

    Suggestions please?

This question is just for leading up to surgery...I'm not referring to what I'd be on post surgery...cause deca and gh will def be there regardless for recovery...also TB500...

TB500 is a great addition. Good call on dropping the T3. But through all my days of searching and reading, those who know they will be down due to surgery or injury use a small amount of test in an attempt to minimize muscle loss. Almost all say they were glad they did keep test going...

My question is why drop anything since I'm only using long chains...they won't clear, deca and test will help with recovery. The proactive surgeon says I will be back doing upper body in a week (not sure I believe him on that but maybe machines...although ten years ago I had same knee surgery and was doing upper body within days)...He has this patented machine I wil be using daily that he claims takes a month of recovery. My only concern with the AAS is with going under could it affect me?

The one thing that comes to mind is high blood pressure, but my wife asked if steroid use increases the amount of anesthesia needed to put someone under...

Sorry to hear about the injiry but glad you're getting the surgery you need to get i fxed up.

I dont see the need to drop anything. What would be the purpose? As you stated, the long esters will still be in your system anyway so why drop anything now?Best to stay on in my opinion as they can only help woth recovery and rehab.

Good luck brother.Just rememebr to come back slow and easy.

I asked my wife (a surgical R.N.) and her response was the same as she gave me when I had my hernia repaired, "you have long ester AAS in your system that will not clear in 2 weeks. The main concern with them is their effect on the blood as in some they thin the blood yet in some they thicken. Dropping them is not going to hinder or help unless you are one that has blood thinning on AAS, in that case you need to let your surgeon know that you have them in your system in case excess bleeding in surgery occurs".

Now her questions, when or if you cut yourself does the bleeding stop quickly or is it prolonged? Do you experience high blood pressure when on cycle? Do you ever get light headed or dizzy on cycle? Does your doctor know of your AAS usage?

ab nailed it right there. they are only going to be concerned with bp issues and blood related issues going in. they are going to most likely do an extensive blood panel on you prior to surgery so you will know for sure if they will have to push it up or not

-I bleed normal, I don't see any difference only AAS that seems to thin me is tren, but not on that...

-I don't know my BP at the moment but normally don't have any issues there. This cycle is mild and not experiencing any dizziness or light headed issues.

-this surgeon is new to me, my doc (actually a nurse practitioner) knows but this surgeon deals with professional athletes, he knows my training partner and many NFL NBA guys, I was open about training, goals, what I do for a living...so I don't think he thought it was a secret. Just don't know how u brig that up.

Ok, so according to her questions one and two should not be an issue since you are not a bleeder. If your doctor has an idea that you are on gear, he may ask the question and if he does, answer truthfully. He may not ask because of his experience with athletes so you can handle it how you are most comfortable.
