A Durant man accused of illegally possessing steroids was charged Tuesday with seven drug crimes.
Don Taylor Herron, 27, was charged with felony possession of testosterone with intent to distribute within 2000 feet of a school and possession of oxandrolone with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school (Durant High School). He also was charged with misdemeanor possession of stanozolol, drostanolone, trenbolone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
All of these drugs except, the marijuana, are steroid pills.
Herron was arrested last week after Durant Police Narcotics officers executed a search warrant at an apartment at 3925 N. First Ave.
According to police, officers found several vials of anabolic steroids in the residence, plus marijuana, syringes and pipes. Herron was booked into jail.
Police said the investigation began after officers received information that Herron was distributing steroids and GHB to several people in the county. GHB is known as as “date rape” drug.
