Yes it would kill the pain, but he would still be high from the effects of the opiate being used. That type of high leaves you in a sedated like state, and very calm, and slows the thought process down...you wouldnt be able to focus, or push yourself through a workout.
Once in a while if the pain is too much for me, I will take naoproxen before a workout, its really nothing more than Advil with a kick, but its deemed a muscle relaxer...makes some drowsy, but it gets me through a workout if and only if I need it.

IMO Butorphanol Tartrate isn’t really all that strong or addictive (unless you are predisposed to addiction). It is said to be comparable to meperidine (Demerol or Pethidine), but I can tell you from firsthand experience that that comparison is horseshit.
I do agree that Butorphanol Tartrate (Torbugesic-SA or Stadol) and Nalbuphine Hydrochloride (Nubain) have no place in bodybuilding.
Ok,
The affects and possibilty of immedate death arent the same. But its injectable, its an opiate. Its a drug used to kill pain. Like i said, if pain is bad enough you shouldnt be working out, or you should go to a doc. Dotn self prescribe.
