Police on Sunday arrested a parolee in Longmont on suspicion of using illegal steroids. He told police he did not know that using anabolic steroids without a prescription was illegal and that friends at his gym told him he could get them at a nutrition store on the 3100 block of 28th Street in Boulder. He said a man there sold him vials of the steroids for $50 each and that they were kept behind the counter.
