LONDON (Reuters) - AstraZeneca is cutting a further 7,300 jobs and expects earnings to fall 14-18 percent this year as patents on key drugs expire and governments in Europe and the United States squeeze prices.

I KNOW ONE MAIN PRESCRIPTION DRUG WAS FOR CONGESTION AND THE COMPANY THAT OWNS MUCINEX FOUND OUT IT DIDNT HAVE A PATENT ON IT. THEY PUT A PATENT ON IT THEMSELVES AND THATS WHERE MUCINEX CAME FROM. OR AT LEAST THATS WHAT THE DOC TOLD ME OVER THE WINTER..“Your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same.”
