  • After 7 Years Of Doing Things The Wrong Way...

I started AAS 7 years ago when I was 43 as a “Quick Fix” to having been overweight and inactive all my life. I started with 500 MG / week having a friend who was huge but knew just a little more than I did. I was 43, 5’11” tall and 232 pounds at 34% BF with a 42” waist. Two years later {I never cycled off and increased the dose to 1000 MG/week} I was 245 pounds, 7% BF, with a 32” waist and turning heads everywhere I went.
After a couple more years of running cycles that went all the way up to 1400 MG of test weekly, 800 MG of Deca weekly, and 5IUs of GH daily, I started having really bad issues with my joints. I had both knees scoped, two shoulder surgeries, a surgery on my forearm for an entrapped radial nerve, and cortisone shot into everything that moved, bent, or rotated.
I quit working out 2 years ago but never came off cycle continuing on with 500 MG per week. I had horrible aches and pains and would wake up with the muscles in my legs feeling like I had done 100’s of squats. I would literally have to lift my legs out of the bed. They treated me for Fibromyalgia, Cryoglobulnemia, and everything else they could think of.
I finally came off cycle using HGH and Clomid on 8/29/2011. I am now 50 years old, take more medicines than I once did supplements, and feel pretty much like a big tub of lard. I am now 219 pounds with a 42” waist and I am at 32% BF. I have been diagnosed with advanced osteoarthritis {runs in the family}, enlarged prostate, high blood pressure, etc. My current doc knows my past and is treating me appropriately. My testosterone blood levels were 71 with 300-1182 being the norm. My vitamin D level was 9 with 30-100 being the norm.
I have finally started this week getting on the elliptical in the AM and I can make it about 10-15 minutes before I completely give out. I know the difference between fatigue and failure and I push to the point of failure. Fatigue is where the mind says “I can do 2 more reps BUT it would hurt too much”. Failure is where the muscle mechanically cannot do another rep. Where I once could bench 415 for 3 reps and do working sets with 275, I struggle with 180 pounds. I once worked out 4 nights a week for 90 minutes minimum, ran 4 miles in 30 minutes 5 mornings a week a 5 AM, and did full contact karate the other 2 nights. I WAS in the best shape of my life. Now, it is all I can do to drag my fat ass out of the bed in the AM.
I am taking AndroGel for the low test levels. I am starting back working out and recording every calorie, carb, etc. I stick in my mouth sticking to a 60/30/10 macronutrient ratio and 10 cals per pound. For now, with “now” being at least 4 months, I am going to see How I can progress with the AndroGel and SEE if I can get back a small portion of where I once was naturally since I have NEVER trained naturally.

Thanks guys....good to be back after such a long absence. I know this is in the AAS forum and I am only using “prescribed” AAS but my whole situation, or a large portion of it, has to do with AAS and my refusal to cycle off occasionally.

    Any pointers would be helpful.

well for one I cant relate you being out of shape to staying on AAS. Plenty of people blast and cruise. Now should you of researched a little more and done things a little differently. Now as far as your test levels, I would get them re-checked I dont see them really being that low, I've never heard of blood levels that low, unless you arent talking ng/dl? As far as your pct, I would have to suspect your clomid was fake and I would assume you took HCG not HGH and that may of been fake as well. With proper pct you would of recovered quite well. With multi year cycles it takes roughly 24 weeks to get back 100% but you still would of gotten there. How did you run the hcg and clomid? I would start HCG treatment followed by nolva before running andro gel. Try an restore your levels. Diet is everything and that 60/30/10 ratio I do not like personally.

I would look into your diet. I would look into some supplements to help clean your insides, that and diet should help with your prostate, and everything else, even aches and pains. That has to be horrible. If you hurt that bad, take medicine for it from your doctor, you will heal up better. It has to be a bad feeling to watch your health go down the drain, especially at 50 years old, hell any age. Just take small steps, you will get back to normal. Don't let those things happen to you, take supplements to combat all those problems, I would slowly taper my self off the other medications and try to get on natural supplements, because medications have side effects, now I am no doctor, nor do I even know you will read this long response, but I would trust a supplement before I would trust a BP med, you might need both you never know. I know the less of those meds in your system the better you would probably feel. But thats just my opinion I have never taken those, so I personally don't know. I would really look into a good cardio program and try to stimulant some endorphins pumping to help with depression and pain. I think cardio makes you pump more endorphins and things like that then weight training, atleast for me I think it does.

Hey bro, good to see you coming back! Are you on a statin drug for cholesterol? Those leg pains sound so much like what statin drugs do.

right, as dzone said sounds like statins could be the leg pain issue. my doc actually wanted to put me on statins for ldl cholesterol but decided not to as there are interactions with them as aas and she knows im still on and plan to be for like another year before taking a break. also as stated by other members, try the hcg again. i was quite low after a rather long tren/prop cycle and took awhle with hcg and clomid to restore levels to pre cycle level. also as we get older the collagen in our connective tissues get lower and joint pain especially with high levels of test like the 1400mg/wk you mentioned make the tendons more brittle. i know ive had cortison in the wrist, the elbows and right delt and mri showed thinning of tendon in shoulder joint. unless you're competing for big bucks to support your family in my opinion i can't understand going over 750 to 1000 at most extreme end per week. just my opinion but ive been super happy with the rsults of intense training and eating right along with 600 to 750mg test per week along with some tren and winny. just my two cents and im not a doctor. hope the peeps here can offer some advice you find helpful brother. glad to see you here =)
