Aspiration is a must so i do it every injection. Most of the time i pull back on the plunger for about 2-4 secs and nothing happens and it doesn't pull back, and i proceed with the injection.I use 1" needle. Today, however, i was doing a quad shot and aspirated, as soon as i pulled on the plunger it went back with ease and empty air bubbles poured into the syringe, no blood, just air. and my quad felt like someone vacuumed it and hurt a little. Seeing no blood though, i went ahead and injected and am heating the site now just in case.
I would just like to know if empty air bubble coming into the syringe is something to worry about.
Thanks.
