  • Pre-Prepared Injections.

So my "Environment" doesn't allow of taking my time drawing liquid from vial into syringe and injecting, especially on the weekend.
I sometimes need to dart on Saturday's and my question is:

Is it ok for me to prepare the injection on Friday, so that i can quickly use it on Saturday?

    Thanks.

Ok I'm gonna have to disagree. If at all possible, leave it in the vial or amp. If you need to pre-load, just keep in mind that the syringe must be stored safely. Preloading a syringe a long time before you will shoot it gives the chance for bacteria to get in the syringe and sometimes the solvents in the steroid will eat away at the plastic in the syringe, causing the plunger to "stick" or the ingredients may separate. I would not preload a syringe unless I was going to use it within the same day, or within the next 12 hours.
As soon as it leaves its sterile environment inside to amp there's always a chance of contamination. Be safe not sorry.

I used to do this alot as well, until my training partner got a bacterial infection from doing this, and just about bit it, so IPL doesn't do that any more.

                          Re: Pre-Prepared Injections.

I have to say its not a good idea, i used to do it also until i realized the the benzyl benzoate used in the injectable solution is a plasticizer and will melt softer plastics like whats found in a syringe. Now every brand of gear has a different amount of BB found in them but most UGLs will have around 20%bb which will melt plastic pretty fast. Id just be on the safe side and load them when ur ready to shoot.

I use to pre-load a week at a time when I was doing fast acting compounds and I never had any problems but I agree with Ironpumpedlady in that if you have to do it be cautious and don't let it sit there longer than it has to. I pre-loaded one then dropped the compound because of gyno symptoms but kept the syringe loaded as an experiment and there was visual bacterial growth within a few weeks; so it definitely picked up some contaminants.

i'd be worried that the solvents in the gear would dissolve or mess with the plunger. as stated, i don't see drawing up and injecting as a long process. cleaning off the stopper with alcohol, unwrapping ur syringes, cleaning off injection site, drawing up, switching pins, injecting....2, maybe 3 minutes. thats just me though.
