  • Strange question.

A buddy of mine, from work, woke up with a grapefruit sized lump on the side of his cheek/neck. This was about a week and a half to two weeks ago. I am under-exaggerating the size of this thing. Today the thing is still the size of a baseball.

The growth was cutting off his air passage and he had to be in the ICU for 3 days. It was originally thought to be an allergic reaction to bite from a brown recluse but the doctors ruled that out and now are speculating that he slept on his arm wrong cutting off circulation. This sounds bogus to me. All of the doctors so far have been baffled. The growth isn't fluid filled and ,according to my friend, it is just dead tissue that is swollen, the doctors have told him.

I am asking on this forum because he was in the middle of a 10 weeker of Cyp, Tren, Bold and GH. I was wondering if improper injections or bad gear could have caused something to go haywire. Have any of you heard of anything like this happening?

The kid is only 23 and when he told me that he ws starting a cycle I pretended to not know a whole lot about gear and I asked him about his injcetions and his pct. He knew a ridiculously minute amount about what he was doing. He was shooting his tren, bold and gh only weekly during his weekly cyp injections. He had no idea as to what I was talking about when I asked him if he had pct.

I tried getting him to do some research online but he is pretty thick headed. I don't want to preach to him about knowledge and research before cyle because I don't want everyone at work thinking that I juice. I have been in a bind this whole time.

I am no expert on gear but I have been lurking and casually posting on this forum for a couple of years now. My gear knowledge is primarily composed of what I have read on this forum. Any suggestions as to 1. how to approach a guy and explain the dangers of blindly using AAS with no knowledge of it or of PCT. and 2. Has anyone ever heard of something like this happening because of gear?

    Thank you.

    Re: Strange question.

Hmmm....never heard of anything like this. If it was at an injection site it could be linked to his injection methods, but with it being on his cheeks, I have no idea!!!

As far as letting him know about the dangers of improper AAS use, find some articles of proper use and print them out for him or send him the links for him to read. You can also send him articles of people gettiung hurt. Send him a link of Greg Valentino, if that doesn't scare him, then it's a lost cause!!!

I'm baffled as well....I would associate a mass/lump on the cheek/neck as possibly infected tooth? swollen lymph gland? blocked salivary duct/gland?

Did he get a CAT scan done? Id get that done, cause at least he will know from that what the abnormalities, fluid, and what area/areas are affected, as it will say in the operative report. Dead skin or tissue shouldn't cause that large of an inflimation. Does he have any symptoms, like pain, fatigue, fever, etc?

            Send him here- http://www.steroid.com/inject.php lol
I have no clue other than what McKenzie suggested. I have seen some massive infections due to impacted molars, but that would have taken some time to form.

I haven't gotten to talk to him a whole lot about it. I think his circulation in his arm was severely depleted and his shoulder and arm have lost a lot of strength. He said he feels like his right arm felt like it was asleep for the first week. He was back at work welding today and he said that he felt alright just his right arm was weak.

I guess the doctors speculate that he slept with his shoulder acrossed his neck, pinching a vein but I don't really understand how that could cause the swelling.

I don't know what tests he has gotten. I suppose I should have came with more info. I guess when I heard of the freakish mass I suspected the gear and I thought you guys might have heard of a similar story.

I will post a pic of his cheek/neck.

                Thanks for the input.

his entire cycle is giving him that lump. eq has been known to make toes swell up, cyp has tendencies to make fingernails fall off, and gh can cause baseball sized lumps....sooo, he's ****ed.

                        Re: Strange question.

I've never heard of anything gear related causing something like that, unless like someone said above it is very close to an injeciton site. On the other hand it def. sound like he is running into this cycle basically deaf and blind. So this might only be the beginning to his problems. Try your hardest to educate him and make some sense of why he is running this with only elementary knowledge.

just have him tell the docs that he is using all that gear. then he'll have his diagnosis lol.
