Got this from another board I was using dish soap by Dawn bad worked for alittle bit but dried up and made it worst !

acne treatment mistakes

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on some acne cures. I have talked with nurses, dermatologists, and spa employees. So Im not just pulling this out of the air.

1) Seems everyone agrees that accutane is nothing to fool around with. FDA indicated for severe, disfiguring acne, not something many people have. Go to a drug site and search for its side effects--very long. Liver problems and elevated blood triglycerides as well as mood changes are common. I am pointing this out to tell you to only use as last resort.

2) I see guys on this site recommending dish soap or something similar. Again this is stupid and will worsen your acne. Why? It dries the hell out of your skin stimulating it to make more oil and can also clog pores. Same thing goes for your average bar soaps, which are very basic (pH) and will really dry out your skin.

3) The key here, as pointed out in number 2, is NOT to dry out your skin. Be weary of astringents as well. Most are alcohol based, which is going to kill all the good bacteria on your skin as well as severly dry it. I used to use alcohol on my face, and after I quite I noticed much less oil being produced and thus less acne.

4) Start by getting facial soap (pH balanced and skin hydrating). I recommend going to a local spa or dermatologist so you can get prescription topical retinoids (I use these on my back) and/or specialty products that really work.

Did you chase it with water? IMO water makes it taste worse. The organic apple cider vinegar is way harsh, thats what i use. if you can't handle the reg vinegar don't even try the organic..

I now mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar into my orange cell tech, it pretty much takes care of the nasty taste.

bro..just go tanning...my ex used to wax my back..yes u will break out veryyyyyyyy bad and white heads all over for the frist 2 weeks... and then ur hauir will become so fine and ur back will feel like silk..
wax it like 5-10 times and then u wont have the probs anymore..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying that your hair got thinner? Mine BLEW UP now I have a nasty patch between ny shoulders. I actually had a guy ask me to see my tattoo on my back only to find my pube farm.

Like some hav esaid, the reaction is to the waxing. What happens is some of the hairs are broken and not ripped out at the roots. Then, tyeh get all irritated and you get ingrown hairs. This is very typical the first few times. After multiple waxings, like Mikey siad, the hair will begin to thin out because each time they will get more and more of the roots out.

I would do a hot cold treatment for starters. If possible, find a place where you have a hot tub and a pool. Get in the hot tub for at least 10 minutes to get all your pores to open up, then immediately jump in the pool and stay in there for several minutes. Do this twice. What will happen is all your pores will open up while in the hot tub and then when you jump in the pool with your pores open the chlorin will clean out your pores and dry up all the oil and stuff in them. Be fair warned, this will dry your skin out. My parents had a hot tub and pool and used to do that for my acne in high school. It worked great. Of course, I was SOL in winter time but at least I didn't have it in spring or summer.

Those bumps will go down bro what happens isa when you wax your back you open up all the pores and if you dont go about it right and put the wrong kind of moisturizer on or sweat right after dirt will get into your pores. I find that instead of lotion after you get it waxed have them put baby powder on it and you wont break out
