If you are having trouble staying logged in when navigating between forums/topics/etc., you need to reset your session cookie. Go into your browser and delete any cookie for the site them log back in. This should fix the login issue.
I know it is a big no no to do this due to possible infection and dulling, however is there a way you can sterilize the pin for a second usage ?? Reason why I'm asking this and normally I wouldnt do it, but I'm due for another stick tomorrow but I cant get my new needles until Monday from my source. Will soaking it in alcohol be ok ??
I've done it a few times in the past without problems, although like you said it's not the best idea. I dipped them in alcohol and pushed some through the needle. Let them dry good before using them.
Just boil it for 2 minutes. That will kill anything that's on it. I used to do it that way back in the day before it was so easy to get them. Never ever had a prob.

If you have to use alcohol. Just put them in a bottle that you can get them out with a forcep, without touching them and you will be fine. Next time get some damn extra pins!! lol
He has to shoot tomorrow but wont get his pins until Monday.
Ive done this in the past until a friend of mine died a slow painfull death from hepatitis from a re-used needle ,he got a spinal-tap done and they couldn't get the needle all the way in so they gave him a sedative and came back a little later when he was relaxed, they apparently wiped the needle with a alcohol swab and it went all the way in but the dumb-ass doctor injected some dead skin cells that were in the syringe and he had got very very sick and I think you know the rest...Besides every time you put that needle through a rubber stopper and your layers of skin you put a hook like burr on the tip of that look under a microscope if you dont believe me !!!

Good point, however I dont use the same pins to draw that I do to inject. I take an 18 to draw and then change it out. I'm gonna boil it for a couple minutes, then soak it in alcohol for a couple minutes, then take a quater CC or alcohol into the syringe and push it through the needle. I'm sure this will take care of everything.

What happened to your friend was a freak accident. It's sad yes, but this isn't the same thing.
Also, who uses the same needle to draw and shoot? I sure as hell don't. I draw with a large gauge and shoot with a smaller one. And yes, I've seen the microspoce photos. It does bend, but that's someone stiking the same pin in the rubber and their skin multiple times, not just poking their skin twice. Your skin is much much softer than rubber and you won't lose much sharpness going from skin to skin one time. I do it all the time with biceps. 1/2 cc in one and 1/2 in the other. It goes in smooth both times.

then he can wait. trying to sterilize pins is rediculous and you risk an infection. boiling does not kill all pathogens alcohol may help but under the microscope a pin is very rough and the alcohol wont get everything.
it wont hurt to wait or go to a damn pharmacy but reuseing pins is not smart. no flame intended to those who do but i stand by my opinion
