Originally posted by makavellie23 he feels fine, just wondering why he is still feeling pain its been over a week since he injected there. its sore to the touch and he cant bend his leg all the way. but there is no lump. not red lines or circles, just a little swelling.
it doesnt sound like a abcess, but why would a brownish puss like substance come out of his legg when i poked him.
That's what bothers me, puss is usually white to yellow. Never heard of brown puss.
My shots always hurt for about a week. I think it's the high BA content of my gear.
well guys i had to play doctor again. i told him and told him, but he will not listen and he kept nagging me to see if i could get more out.
so i went in with an 18g needle. and drew out about another 2 ccs. but this time it was pink, sort of lie strawberry milk. i was like motherfucker you need to take your ass to the doctor. well i jab him in like 3 differnt spots each with a new need and lots of alcohol. and after the first time i couldnt get anything. so maybe i got all of it, SO HE SAYS IF HIS LEG IS STILL HURTING IN ANOTHER COUPLE OF DAY HE WILL GO TO THE DOCTOR. his leg has to be hurting after i poked him 3 times with an 18g needle. i told him that was it for me that i wasnt doing that again. it was kinda fun playing doctor. i couldnt feel no lump anymore. so maybe his pain will go away.(OR HIS LEG WILL FALL OFF).
If anything is infected -- you constantly poking him most certainly will cause the infection to spread - alcohol will not stop that.
He does not need the ER -- those are for trauma cases. A regular doctor visit should be in order, rather than he ER. And there is doctor/patient confidentiality. Insurance companies do not get details of the client visit, just a basic diagnosis code and the doctor chooses one that best describes the visit.
But there should be no more self-medicating -- and that includes your poking around in there.

Strawberry milk - is blood and puss.
This guy smells like a juvenile. Even if you or I mean your friend are not, this type of behavior proves neither one of you are ready to use steroids.
How crazy do you have to be to refuse to go to a medical professional, but let "your friend" perform minor surgery on you?
There is not enough maturity, responsibility or sense present in this situation to show the ability to make an informed decision.
im not the mans mother he can do what he wants ok.
so what the hell does that have to do with me being mature enough to do steroids.
there are some other bros that i have read about that do drain there abcesses. why dont you call them imature, for all i know your a little 16 year old ***** just trying to get some posts under your name but i dont know becuase someone didnt put the year they were born, huummm wonder why that is. come talk to me when you graduate kid. and as far as why he wont go to the docs. becuase he was asked a while back when he jumped 25 pound within the last visit if he was using anything and he lied. if his insurance finds out he is on juice they will drop him plain and simple. and the man has kids. there is a confidentiality law but if you read closely at least in my state. that law is overridden if you are causing damage to your body willingly or breaking the law.
Makavelli -- IMPO it sounds like a Staphylococcus aureus infection. It is a bacteria that is common at surgical wound infections that commonly causes skin infections (abscesses, furuncles, and boils). This, itself, is not an emergency but needs to be treated with antiobiotics like penicillin. HE MUST GO TO THE DOC! If he plays around with this he can get bacterial septicemia and cause TOXIC SHOCK = DEATH in many cases. not to mention the possible endocarditis (heart inflammation) and arthritis.
If he is concerned about his kids like you said, he needs to go. They gear does not have to be mention, although I strongly advise it, but this type of infection can come from any puncture wound because Staph is normal flora.
This is JUST ONE possibility, regardless he needs it checked.
keep the wound clean all the time... drain it again if it gets big...
and tell him to get some antibiotics!! (don't matter if it's from his doc or some site)... the infection can spread all over.. only antibiotics can prevent that...
a doc would have most likely drained it too, and given him antibiotics... he HAS to get those!!
if it gets worse seriously tell him to go to the emerg... he can say he fell on a dirty nail a while ago.. or something...
seriously, he can end up having to get his leg amputated...

OK, Newgirl no sniping.
Just for the record, I graduated in 1975, but thanks for the compliment. At my age it's all good when someone still thinks you're a kid.
