possible abcess

my friend is currently on deca and test enathate. his first injection was jan 29th. since then his leg has been bothering him, hes not limping, but he says he is having problems putting on his pants.

so he came over and i felt the area that he injected, it was sore to the touch, so i go out one of my needles 23 g 1inch pin and poked in the part that was hard. needless to say he didnt like that. so i drew back and this brownish liquid came out. took out about 1 and a half ccs of it, so was that an abcess should i try to get more out of him or should he wait a couple of days. i have some prendisone would that help him.

Does he have a temperature (fever)? Is there a red line running up from the site?

Were all his "utensils" clean? Odds are, he may be very suspectible to these kinds of welts. My husband's glutes look friggin deformed with certain gear and the heat that comes off of them is KILLER as well as rolling over at night or sitting at times.

This happened a week ago now -- he has seen no improvement in the pain or size?

he feels fine, just wondering why he is still feeling pain its been over a week since he injected there. its sore to the touch and he cant bend his leg all the way. but there is no lump. not red lines or circles, just a little swelling.

it doesnt sound like a abcess, but why would a brownish puss like substance come out of his legg when i poked him.

That is the only thing that bothers me about this, the brown stuff you removed.

I inj. sus in my quads last week, eod in each leg. Needless to say I couldn't walk. I had to take a deep breath just to move. It was a little swollen, but I beleive that is just the inj.

I would go to the doctor. No questions asked!

personally i dont think he will go until he thinks his leg will fall off.
i told him that alot of you guys think he should go to the doctors, but hes scared. he dont know what to say and doesnt want to get in trouble. is it possible i just pulled out oil that was sitting there or would it have dispersed by then. i dont know. im not his mother so when hes walking around on 1 leg he will think twice.

This is another thing, There is a privacy act the doctors can't give out info about you to anyone. He can tell him not to do it, but can't get him in trouble. I asked my doc if he could get me anti-e he told me to get my mom to come in and he would prescribe it to her! The catch is, I m not telling mom.
