ONe last point on the diet. Your body can only utilize a limited number of calories and protein at a time. That is why it is dramatically better to eat many small meals. Without something like ginger root, you will only utilize around 50-70 grams of protein every few hours. The rest will either be stored as fat or shit out unused.

Eating a huge meal while you are bulking isn't going to hurt anything, but you will still need another meal in three hours to keep from going catabolic - even though you might still feel full.

      Hey bro,

I agree with Shyster.... I was just like you. When I got out of the service, I was 6'1" 185lbs. When I went in, I was 145lbs. The difference was food.

I always ate whatever I wanted and pigged out, but never the proper food. Well, after the service, I got serious about weight training and putting on size. I upped my calories (you have to count them...at leas for a little while) and upped my protein big time. I was up to 4,000 calories a day. Well, I got up to 205lbs naturally at age 34. The highest I've gotten is 230lbs, but that was not naturally and a lot was water.

Just try it...throw out the notion that you think you are eating enough and properly. Others said it above, at your weight and height, I can almost guarantee you can gain a lot more naturally before ever hitting the juice.

      Good luck,
      Skarn

Eat 5-6 meals a day spaced out about every three hours. 50g of protein per meal. And as many good carbs as you can eat in each meal. Don't shy away from fat too much cuz you sound like you'll need it.
This is redundant at this point but diet is the key. Eat OFTEN and eat a lot of protein. Calories are the key but it must be good calories like protein and a decent amount of good carbs.

Looks like the other members have already discussed diet.

My suggestion to you would be to go through the Anabolic Profiles section of this board and read about ALL the different types of steroids...that way when you're doing your research, you'll have a general idea of what steroids do what... which are more anabolic and which are more androgenic... etc... Biotch,

I checked out your photos, excellent physique! I would definately consider that a goal of mine. Curious, how long has it taken you to reach that point? How old are you?

I was the same way too for many years-- If I gained 5 pounds it was a great acheivement. I was 6'2 and about 172, I was always able to pump up really easy but it was hard to maintain and gain any weight. It took me a month or so to get up to about 187 when I really stuck to it.
Just like the other guys said-- eat lots of meat-- at meals keep eating even if you are full and try to eat a little more at each meal. I made a point of drinking huge amounts of milk-- when you think you are at your fullest take your time and drink some type of weight gain shake after the meal or a huge glass of milk. Drink as much milk as you can all day and have 3 big meals stuffing yourself and 3 small ones in between to keep yourself filled. Always try to fill yourself to the max at meals with lots of meat and after the meal when you think your about to burst drink a large glass of milk or even better a weight gain/ protien shake.
Also try to relax your body, some ectomorphs keep their body or certain muscles tight and flexed, you most likly will not even realise you are doing it. The more relaxed you are the less calories you will burn.
Weight gainer alone won't do it. Keep yourself filled up to the max and top it off with the weight gain.
Try that for at least 6 weeks and see what type of gains you got, if its working out well then keep on it for another 6 weeks. You really want to try and "hone" as much muscle as you can naturally, then you will see the best results with AS. You want to use it as a tool not a crutch.

If you don't care what type of weight you put on go to the cooler section of the local supermarket and look for that pre made Pilsbary cookie dough mix-- it sorta comes in a thing that looks like a sausage. Don't cook it and eat it raw, try to eat 1/2 of it a day. Big time calories. I've done it --- tastes ok --really sweet.

Alright rippedtoshreds, I didn't read the last several replies because of the redundancy. However, it looks like we're all on the same note here. You have to eat right if you're ever gonna be serious about weightlifting. I have a high metabolism too but I make myself eat right. As far as AS cycles go, you definately need to do some research. Sure everyone here can give you their advice, but you should want to find as many facts as you can on your own. I already see different responses given to you about cycling for the first time. Now, whose advice do you take? I suggest surfing around the net or checking the board for previous posts, but one thing's for sure....eat, eat, eat Good luck and welcome to fg.
