Originally posted by BASK8KACE There is also equipment that sends an electric signal through your bare feet and measures BF based on the resistance of the current (you cannot feel the current going through your body)
This method actually isnt very accurate. I had this done, and it said I was 14%..but I didnt think that was right cause I was fuckin ripped, so I got it done by 2 different doctors and turned out to be 8% by both of them.
The only way you can accuratle figure out your BF % is the method where you are submerged and weighed in water i forget the name of it but all the other ones like calipers are off even those electric scales are junk my brother used one at his college when he played football and it never gave accurate or consistant readings. I still believe that the first method i talked about is the most accurate. Just my 2 cents.

Originally posted by BASK8KACE They are accurate. There are two settings: normal and athletic. If the person does not set this inital variable correctly, the reading could be off by 7%- 10%.
I spoke to the assistant as he set up the meter and asked him about all the components--he explained it to me. He knew what he was doing and he still set it at normal. We both knew the reading was off. When he set it at athletic it was correct.
hrmm..well maybe the one my friend had sucked then, cause it only had one setting, and I definately wasnt 14%!
