  • What do you guys think? Train or don't train when sick.

I haven't been sick in a while. Chest day is tommorow and I'm wondering if I should just relax or train but not as hard as I usually do. I feel like their is no point. I dunno. What do you guys think?
Being defeated is sometimes only a temporary condition. Giving up, makes it permanent......

It takes alot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there's no real security in what's no longer meaningful. There's more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life and in change there is power......

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step......

Pain is weakness leaving the body......

"Fuck what everyone else thinks. Follow your own way and only then will you have the potential to lead to greatness......"

I have to be there anyway I have to work. Too many clients to train. Don't wanna miss out on them. That I feel would be inconsiderate no?

Cirrus I would believe that you are more prone to sickness, at least during the first couple of weeks as you are consistantly putting a foreign substance into your body, which is consistant with the posts from people who just start their cycles and then become sick or catch something other then the sust flu. GH is the only thing that I can think of that can really help in a more then "coincedence" kind of way.

I don't work at a gym but the one I go to is big enough that you can avoid whomever you wish and still get a hell of a workout. If you are worried about getting ill the best you can do is make sure you have all you facets of living under control the best you can, ie. multi-vitamins, vitamin C, etc. Control what you can, and let the other pieces fall where they may.

All I will say is I went in and worked out once with a chest cold and ended up with pneumonia. I couldn't workout for six weeks so in my opinion it is better to be out for a couple of days then a couple of months.

im not a doc , but it would seem to me that healing muscles and fighting off a cold at the same time is a llot of tax on the body. not to mention the water factor , i get dehydrated as hell when i have a cold. skip it , make your clients do cardio for a couple days , lol

                    Sick

It all depends on how severe the sickness....if I dont feel no way that I can give 100% then I will take the day of & not have a second thought about doing so...but say if I just have a stuffy nose but teh rest of me feels ok...I will train..

I would say working out while ill would be a bad idea because your bady is trying to heal itself and the working out will put more strain on you than is needed. therefore you would probably be sick longer. I would take the day off
