  • my bench press is stuck

hey dudes I put this in the training section but no ever goes there so I was wondering if any of you have any ideas on how I can get my bench up. I've been stuck at 275 for 6 or 7 reps for 2 months now. I need to get past this plateau so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm on 500mg enanthate and 400 mg eq every week and 35 mg of dbol a day. This is the start of week four of my cycle.
Everything I say is my opinion and should not be listened to by anyone.

change your workout. Thats what I did and my bench press increased

instead of lifting 275 for 6-7 reps do 290 for one. then stop then do it again, then stop then do 295 for one then stop then do it again. stop then 300 repeat to 305
thats it. only 8 reps but they are in one intervals sets. or even go higher if you can bench more. do this twice and you might pass the plateau..

it works man, and if not take 10,000 mg of TEST a day, that will help.. sorry had to refer to that post. lol

Usually the Test kicks in about now, so you should be expecting gains. Plus more weight less reps will help also.

a week off always helps my strength, but sisnce you in middle of cycle, that is not an option. I usually lift 8 weeks then take a week off, and when i resume training i am able to increase weight on everything

Super sets helped me.higher weight lower reps.Neavy negatives. Try doing incline first in your workout with heavier weight than normal. The biggest thing is change your routine and use heavy weight.

He's been on dbol for 4 weeks...

I hit my strength peak in the 4th week of a cycle w/ dbol too bro....after several more weeks of test, your strength will go up slowly though. Try upping the weight for 2-3 reps like was said before. When you drop back to 275, it should feel much lighter and you should get more reps than before.

Try prioritizing your chest (add an extra day of chest to your routine) and reduce the volume of work done by other muscle groups. Also, give your secondary muscles (delts and triceps) a day of their own. Good luck bro.

Try a routine called "Heavy Supports". Run a search on it on google and you should get all the info, but basically:
1 set 85% of 1 rep max for 5 reps.
the hold 120% of 1 rep max with elbows slightly bent (like an 1/8 of a rep) for 15 seconds (until your arms start to shake).
                              then 5 reps at 85%,
                              hold 125% for 15 seconds
                              then 5 reps at 85%
then hold 130% for 15 seconds.

Do this for 4 weeks and you will break your old mark. It is designed to increase tendon strength (which usually lags behind and is your limiting factor). I've done it twice and it worked both times.
