The reality that I was almost grouped in with rapists and murderers for posession of a pipe was a sobering one. I think that America, espiecially certain individual states (AZ) would do well to relax our drug laws and start putting away real criminals and not recreational drug users. (Try putting "overcrowded prisons" in your search engine)

Enhancement drugs such as AS just go one step further as thing that it's just silly to put a man in jail for owning.

Thats life my friend. Live with the choices you make, no one controls that but yourself. As far as your last point, there's several sections to the 'crime force'. Drug enforcement, FBI, ATF, etc. Each serves a different purpose. DEA isnt likely to go after a murderer, you get my point.

Doesnt seem like a big deal to you or most other people because you use them, but to the average society, its a big mistake. I use anaoblic steroids (if you're the DEA, Im just kiding and entertaining you guys) and I still think they should be illegal and controlled, Im happy with the way things are now.

I agree with you fully (beleive it or not) But, I think that they should be decriminalized (posession) not legalized and be regulated on who can get them.

I think that any learned ADULT should be able to posess AS and use them as they see fit (with the help and guidance of their doctor). I don't feel that this will make it any different for kids because they can already get AS pretty readily if they look hard enough (and they don't have to look that hard in most High Schools).

It's not like I want AS to be sold in vending machines, I just think that weightlifters shouldn't have to worry about jailtime when using this stuff.

Thats always how it starts out though man. Look at beer. Its not for use to those under 21, but inevitably, teenagers drink more than adults do. Would be no different with anaoblic steroids. If they couldnt buy them, they'd have an adult buy them for them....

Sorry dad, but thats a whole different scenario. I dont want them legalized. If I get caught with them, Ill pay the fine, serve the jail time, whatever is handed to me, that doesnt mena I should turn myself in. Thats a weak argument, much like the rest of the shit you've brought to this debate.

Other drugs are addictive worldwide but AAS usage seems to be culture-related. If a society values big muscle there will be more AAS usage. It seems to me it's mostly a North American and (to a lesser extent) European phenomenon. In fact, people in some countries outside these areas believe only gay men would want big muscles and spend hours in the gym. You will probably never see AAS abused there, even if it's OTC.

In America, there is pressure to look good, like the guys and girls on TV, there are scholarship offers to top universities for elite athletes, there are records to be broke, etc. not many of these apply in other countries.

Who gives a fuck if other people use it? I still say I'd rather NOT be a felon any day of the week, I think it is moronic to worry about other people and how they ruin thier lives if they are going to do it anyway with crack or whatever.

I also dont buy that every other guy in high school is going to use it, plenty may try it sure, that is thier own doing. When people want it they will get it anyway. I am sure that there can be a control system set in place, like must be doctor prescribed and can't be covered by health insurance unless proven to be HRT etc at the very least, but still, if I sat in jail or payed hefty fines and was put on probation. Then your damn right I'd say this shit fucking sucks.
