After 8 weeks of Anavar.... How long should one take off till he can begin to take it again? Does the body usually need less recovery time for orals compared to a testosterone based cycle?

well since it hammers the absolute piss out of your lipids and your liver. i mean in most people the var just absolutely obliterates your lipids i would say get your bloods done as soon as you are done and then check them every few weeks. when your back in the safe zone with lipids and liver values then go ahead and fire it back up
My thoughts would be the duration you were taking the orals times that by 2 and that will be your off time. So if you were taking Var for 6-8 weeks, stay off for 12-16 weeks to let your liver and kidneys recover. Do a couple blood tests to check levels in between. You wouldn't want to jump back on if your values haven't come down from prior cycle.

You did 6 week of Anavar. A drug my gf regularly takes. You don't have to stop at all. Take 100 MG of Anadrol or 40 of dbol. It doesn't matter there is not set time I can tell you "ok, now you go and start your orals again". Do you even realize I've known pretty big name bodybuilders who were on Anadrol for 3 years, 5 years even 7 years straight? They still have a liver.

great point pgc but here is the trade off. some may only see a little bump in liver values and the liver is a hell of an organ that can take a pretty damn good beating. the lipids are the area that are of the most concern esp for us as we get older. again to your point that everyone is so different you cant really make a call on exact timing without bloods. you and i could run 100mg of drol for 6weeks with a 10 point jump on liver values but my ldl may crank up to 200 and yours may stay under 100. that's where we get into danger aside from bp issues haha
i know i'm on the opposite end of most people's advice on this and this is only my practice and i don't suggest it to anyone but my cutter i am running var, winny and halo. i am just about done the first 6 weel run of halo and just started the var last week about 4 weeks into the winny run. i will now run the winny and var til my take off for jamaica in july and the 2nd halo run will start 6 weeks prior to the jly take off date. i only use orals the few months before summer vacation and then don't touch them again til the next year. i have never had issues with liver values on my labs. my hdl does take a nose dive while on orals but resumes to normal within 3-4 weeks post cycle. again this is just me and the same practice might screw someone else up but i'm giving my honest input on solely my practice and experience on this.
