I'm what you would call a "reformed" person who works out lol I worked out in highschool, but never with heavy weights, just light sets and reps to keep lean for wrestling. I was 5'11 and 155-160 in school. When I graduated I took up the art of smoking and eating crap all the time. It wasn't until I was in my late 20's that I got my stuff together and quit smoking and eating so badly.
Started working out again, eating much better and before you know it feeling much, much better. I couldn't imagine a day where I wouldn't be thinking about working out or eating the best I can.
I've been with my wife for 15 years now and wouldn't have it any other way. No kids...prob won't..but since I'm 41, it crosses my mind from time to time that I better jump on that wagon now or it might pass me by...
