Im trying the lighter weight approach myself, i use a slower tempo and higher reps. the pump is insane and i am seeing results,i'm rather surprised to be honest.

good form time under tension and pump are the most important imo. just lifting heavy weight to lift heavy weight is stupid and will shorten your time in the sport. now with that said some people can grow with heavy weight crap form and some can grow with light weight and perfect form. progressive loading and blood every training session. also something that comes to mind is heavy weight is a relative term. what is light weight for me my be stupid heavy for you. i think that also plays a part in the equation as well

Yes, i dont always think of it as light weight but for me last set I try and get at least 8 reps on the last set and usually drop set/superset.

True, i aim for 8-12 reps on most movements. I love the slow negative as i feel it is working very well for me, something ive never done before. I will change it up sometimes and take 30% of my 1RM and do 25-30 reps with it, steady med speed tempo. Man the pump is awesome. Im seeing results in my arms FINALLY by doing slower more controlled reps and slow negs.

I can take a couple 20 lb dumbells and annihilate myself with them. I can make those 20 pounders feel way heavier by what I do with them

Years ago when I trained with Fuzo he cut me no slck and would hand me weight I would have never picked up on my own. That was the best shape I was ever in and I was 40. !0 years later and I am ready to beat that but probably need to modify a bit
