  • Smith machine

So say what you will but after years of training with some big dogs in the sport the smith has become a staple in my routines.

That being said I travel a lot so I hit a lot of different gyms. My question is why is there so many difference in how a smith operates or feels?

It in the Degrees of the Tracking. Different Smith Machines have different angles. I use the Smith Rack all the time. Incline, Decline, Flat, Seated Military Presses, upright Rows.
I haven't had one Bro come up to me while using the Smith Machine & say... Dude your not going to grow or develop your stabilizer muscles if you keep use that. Lol

I hate the smith machine. Not because I don't think it has its place in the gym. But because of dicjholes like this stud in the video.
I don't use it because I haven't found anything it benefits training for my sport. I took this video then pointed and laughed at the guy.

As with any machine or Free Weights. If you don't do the exercise with proper form or if you go to damn heavy your just waiting your time.

              Re: Smith machine

There are certain movements I will use it for but I will go heavy with proper form and it will not be a main lift. I do see many people lift like that though HH sad lol

I like and use the smith machine for certain things too. I especially like using it on close grip bench for triceps.
