  • your thoughts on protein consumption

    There are countless opinions, and articles, on how much protein is really needed per meal. Now I am speaking in regards to supplementing with a protein supplement... I feel it has become more of a marketing strategy to recommend multiple scoops of protein to take at one time. I guess it all depends on how one's body digests it but I think a smaller dose,more frequently, just seems more logical. Thoughts?

    something i learned from listening to a really smart doctor. you should be changing the types of protein powders you use pretty much every couple of days and brands as well. he says that your body will and can develop crazy sensitivities to them and they must be changed frequently as possible. something to think about

      One thing I do know is that too much protein isn't good and the body begins to stress in trying to digest it. So what I've begun to do is implement Apple Cider Vinegar into my diet to help the digestion process plus all around health. I'll mix about 3 tablespoons of ACV with a shot of apple juice, a shot of Ginger ale, and about 8oz of water. I do this every morning upon wake up and believe it , it's helped a lot. Digestion, energy, sinuses don't bother as much, less headaches, all around I feel better .

          Im old school so two scoops in every shake or smoothie no less than twice daily. Id love to get all my protein from whole foods but its almost impossible.

            I probably do about 4-6 scoops a day. It tastes good and gets rid of hunger pains. Better a protein shake than a big mack or a whopper

                How about a protein shake WITH either a Big Mac and or Whopper ? The Best of both worlds. And trust me , I've done it .
                Washed down a Big Mac meal w/ a protein shake , extra calories for me .

                    i only consume it PWO and only 15-20 grams. I think we have been taught more is better with protein but I gain mass the same whether I consume 20 grams or 40 PWO and maybe 100-120 grams in a day
