  • Ashwagandha

    Anybody heard of this or use it? I've run across a couple people that swear by it. I looked into it and it has a huge list of benefits. Almost seems too good lol.

    Just curious if anyone here uses it.

    yeah it is and adaptogen. i think most studies revolve around it's ability to reduce anxiety and cortisol. but several other benefits. 1-2 grams ed. not a strong flavor but also not pleasant. kind of like wet dog. I could not really tell any diff as I do not have anxiety for the most part but maybe i did just feel better?

      I stay constantly stressed out at work all day, so I may pick some up and give it a try. It's not expensive at all, so nothing to lose really lol.

        Never noticed a difference to be honest. There is science suggesting it lowers cortisol induced stress however if that isn't your issue then I don't know if it'd be beneficial. Took it for a long time. Never felt it did much. But it might help if your anxiety is extremely mild, mine wasn't...or isn't.

            going to try a combo of Rhodiola rosea and Ashwagandha extracts.

              Nice!! That sounds like it would actually be great to take alongside the Ashwagandha. If I really feel something positive from the Ash, I'll throw the Rhodiola Rosea in the mix as well.

              My hope is that I'll end up being one non-stressed, totally smooth, relaxed, optimally functioning, cognitive mf'er. That'd be nice.
