Has anyone ever b een told this? I had a lipid panel done4 months ago and my numbers were lower than normal. Have to repeat these tests now and I know it isnt what most hear, as it is usually high, but anyone have this?
Have you had any symptoms of low cholesterol? Sometiimes those levels can fluctuate depending on diet. Are you going to get it tested again soon?>
There isnt a ton of research about this because it mostly is the other way. My LDL was 47 down from 100 a few years ago. that is lower than usually seen. Yes I am getting retested in a week or so.
and this is what low cholesterol does, on statins or not
to low cholesterol can do just as much damage as to much. it messes with the brain hormones and all kinds of other essential functions in your body. you may be limiting your saturated fat and healthy fats to low and it is driving them down. that would be my first guess. other than meds that is pretty strange though
haha not you but your body def is strange in how it acts and reacts. since you arent taking anything that would surpress your cholesterol i am pretty perplexed. that is unless your eating a zero i mean absolute zero fat diet and your body cant make it's own cholesterol. your body can make as much as it needs in most cases but yours obviously is being funky for some reason

My good cholesterol was at 18 and the bad at 94 when I got tested for my life insurance. While the total sounds great the doc told me that they look at the ratio of one to the other as to how good or bad the results are. The reason being the good cholesterol acts like a vacuum and sucks up the bad cholesterol so when good cholesterol is low there are less vacuums to suck up the bad cholesterol and more can get deposited into the arteries.

It is my bad cholesterol that is considered to low. Actually both numbers were the same. I was to start thyroid meds which tends to lower the LDL so I am glad I havent started it yet cause who knows how low it would go.
LDL cholesterol is like a bandaide in the arteries. without it if you have a damaged artery it may not get repaired although your body knows how much to make so I am sure you are good. as long as your HDL is not 3 or something. also cholesterol is has a lot to do with many hormone's manufacture in your body. I know guys with low LDL (due to meds, vegan ect) normally have pretty low test levels. without LDL cannot make natty test. not sure about woman. will research

not a tone of real fact out there on LDL effects but some say severe depression, memory loss etc. I am holding off on thyroid meds till this LDL raises up. I guess all the yolks I eat are counter productive on my body, lol
