I love bread but even whole grain breads are really pretty high GI. What about sprouted grain breads?
Sprouted has a MUCH Lower GI index score by a big margin. It is much higher in vitamins and minerals, and contain antioxidants.
The sprouted grains are kind of treated like vegetables in the gut as opposed to grains which contain a lot more gluten and are normally highly processed with high fructose corn syrup added.
I tried it for some toast. it was denser and drier than regular break. I liked the more earthy nutty flavor. I think I will eat it from now on.
Oh, I had toast with natty peanut butter for a snack......I felt full far longer than regular bread. I will makes a smoked chicken sandwich with some meat I had frozen from July 4th. I bet it will be good!
