Re: How to hire a coach

i would say that it isnt the coach that does all the hard work and sacrifice but i just picked up two clients that where doing two hours of cardio per day and 3 hours on their off day sunday. that on top of training normally and no cal intake above 1700 during the week. so yeah check your coach out first, ask some of their former clients about them and your experience with them. also see how they have done competition wise and how long they have been doing it and if they have used coaches in the past. if a person has done 1-2 shows and used a coach for them, then chances are they dont know dick and havent tried very many approaches. another tell tell sign that said coach is a dumb ass is when they have 2 or 3 females and a couple males using the exact same training and cardio setup and their diets are identical. do a little checking before hand please or you will have a lighter wallet and end up worse off than when you started. i hate fake people and i hate cookie cutters. you have to plug each individuals numbers in and you have to adjust each individual differently

something i heard from a dude a long time ago really rings home. as a coach it isnt so much about what you have done or what you are doing that defines you. it is what can you do with someone else to make them better in the end than you are. that should be your driving force as a coach. not so much how successful you can be but how far you can take someone else past what you have done
