  • Egg white question also looking for lean food suggestions

    Diet is my weakest point at least cutting diets. I can eat red meat all day so bulking diets are easy for me.

    That being said I am on the hunt for abs right now. I have just cut out all bread and red meat. I switched to low fat creamer in my coffee and stopped adding sugar.

    I switched my rice for mixed veggies and switched all my snacks to fruits

    So my question is how healhy are egg whites for you? Are they healthy and lean enough for you to eat like twice a day?

    I am also looking for helpful ideas on things to eat to help me lean up. I am just bairly starting to show upper abbs so I would assume im maybe no more then 15%bf?

    I know celery burns more cals then it takes in but also fills you so i have been eating that later at night instead of other foods.

    So if you have any suggestions on what to eat or links to recipes that make a lot of lean healthy food for cheap please post the links. I am going to search through our pages here I know we have some good ones.

    Egg whites are geat source of much needed protien. nothing wrong with twice a day though you may get burned out. I like to saute some baby spinich and some turkey sausage with my egg whites. I also use a lot of red and black pepper. I also will scramble them with some fresh salsa. Don't be afraid to add 1 or 2 yolks. I will ussually add 1 or 2 whole eggs with a cup of whites in the morning. That and a cup of oatmeal and your off to a good start to your day. I would also have at least 1 meal a week with some lean red meat. Just to change it up. And plenty of chicken breasts. Greek yogurt with some mixed berries. For a treat when I am trying to cut I will get some no fat coolwhip and have that with some fresh cut strawberries or blue berries. There's a few for ya. Good luck on the cut.       eggwhites don't have any fat and are a excellent source of protein. tear'em up

        Thanks guys! I have been eating egg whites with 1 or 2 yolks in the morning. I was asking becuase eggs are really fast and sometimes i dont have time for much else. I get tired of chicken faster then any other food for some reason. Thanks for the other suggestions as well guys I apprechiate it. I found some good slow cooker recipes in FISTS kitchen section. I have been using my slow cooker like crazy. It allows me to cook large amount of food very easily. I dont have as much time to prep as i did before so i can just throw everything in the pot set it and go do everything else i have to and im good to go.

          I do the eggwhites in the carton from winco (1 cup) with 2 whole eggs in the morning all the time good and easy. there are other egg white companies too

            One of my favorites for chicken in the slowcooker is chicken breasts, fresh salsa and let it cook till the chicken falls apart with a spoon. I also will put some black beens in with it and then either make a burrito bowel with it or I will get some whole grain tortillas , add some lettuce,hot sauce,tomatos, and I use plain greek yogurt instead of sour cream. I can eat this a few times a week and it's easy as can be to make.

              good stuff. the only thing I found is every slow cooker is different and boy have I dried out some chicken in my time in those slow cookers . what about that mango salsa..good shizzal..

                Thats what ive been using the carton. I am on a much more limited budget for food now. Thats another reason I want to eat more egg whites lol.

                  That actually sounds great I will have to try that I have a bunch of chicken i have been looking for new easy slow cooker chicken recipes.

                  this is very true! i messed up a pulled pork recipe the other day! the pork was stilll good just not really "pulled" lol

                    I cook it on low and all the juice from the salsa keep it far from dry. The juice runs down my arm when I make tacos with it. I just set it up before I go to bed and then it's done in the morning.

                      How much salsa and how many chicken? Just roughly so I can guesstimate a little.

                          Sweet I like spivey to sounds good brother I'm gonna try it out! Simple and cheap that fits my schedule and budget perfect lol

                            I eat egg whites every morning with mushrooms cut up in it. I like to add hot sauce keeps it from getting so boring.

                              I Add hot suace to my eggs to.
                              Sometime I mix them with brown rice and add hot suace. When I'm bulking I add some cheese to.
