I have a ***** to share with fg members. my dad died a 2 weeks ago , he died of cancer I thought it was a heart attack at first. but I want to tell you all to keep your loved ones home with you if its going to die as if your at the hospital they kill you with morphine, Haldol, Ativan. they don't feed you or give you water. I was there I witnessed it which being a nurse I knew that they give you drugs to make you comfortable but I didn't know they give you these drugs every ten minutes and no food or water. the cocksuckers gave my dad all these drugs to make the end more closer. so if u have love ones in this predictament, keep them home to die youll have them home longer. I could of said the things I wanted to tell my father if he were home but he was to doped up in the hospital for him to even understand what I was trying to tell him. now I live with the guilt. so fuk the medical profession its a joke. when your at the hospital visiting them the nurses act like there helping him as soon as you leave that's all the tx they get. please keep your loved ones home with you youll get up to 6 months more with them. I just wish I could of got the toxicology report on my dad to see how much drugs they killed him with.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my father on 10/28/12 at the young age of 61 to a sudden massive heart attack. it has been the most life altering event ever. It is not something I would wish for my worst enemy. There is a void that feels like it will never be filled. Stay strong brother.

thanks fellas, yes I decided to quit bodybuilding as I tossed out 5k worth of gear and everything to be done with lifting as I looked at my own mortality. god bless you guys and chemicalengineer for losing your dad its the hardest thing to go through. I thought it would not bother me but its beating my ass. iam crying all the time at certain times of the day. hey iam human I do have emotions. now we see wat happens to my mom. god bless everybody I feel your pain guys.

Unclem, my heart goes out to you during this time of grief. There are many stages to grief and they are a very rough road to endure at times. It is very sad how patients are treated sometimes, and this is often the way the elderly are treated in nursing homes. I do agree that it is the family that needs to take charge and be there as much as they can or, the patient is just left there, as you said. I pray for strength for you to get through this very difficult time, and know that we are here for you when ever you need a friend.

thanks baby, I love ya for your kind words. your a classy woman and have always treated me great so for that I thank you. ill be on the boards when I see wat is going on with my mom she might have surgery for cancer so ill be a person who no longer lifts but add my knowledge to anyone who needs it. again thank you everyone.

To anyone who every lost a loved one or a parent i know how you feel and i'm sorry for you loss,i lost my mom to cancer and almost lost my mind in the process it was not easy i'm happy of the fact that,i got a chance to let her know exactly how thankful i was for all her sacrifices, that makes her passing a bit easier to me

I'm so sorry for your loss Unclem.. I lost my father when he was 37 yrs of age and I was 12 yrs old when he passed away.. I was too young to understand what my father and mother were going through. Its always the hardest on the person left to see their loved one going through the pain and suffering thinking they are being good taken care of by the nurses and doctors. We sometimes depend on them since we think they know whats the best for the patient that we sometimes fail to realize that it isn't. I will have you and your family in my prayers. I know its easier to say not to feel guilty but it wasn't your fault Unclem. Its like Baby said we go through stages of grief but know that you have a family here as well and we're here for you !

I am very very sorry. My grandfather was really like my father and i lost him 3 years ago. This is truely the hardest thing we go through in life. I pray for everyone, but i'll make sure and spend extra time in my prayers for you.

unclem, so sorry to hear about your dad. My heart is heavy for you bro. My mom died less than a year ago. Nov 4 2012. Now that I am getting close to the 1 year anniversary, the pain is intensified. Seeing the weather change and the leaves falling just triggers off the emotional anchors. I miss my mom more now than ever. The most important person in my life. She was my best friend.
My mom had a mild stroke in the hospital and they put her on blood thinner to prevent a second stroke. I discussed it with the doctors and told them I wasnt totally comfortable with her on the blood thinners because she was bleeding. Well, on that sunday evening, my mom had a bloody nose and choked to death on the blood, all alone in her room

Wow, unclem I am terribly sorry I have tears just reading that...my mother was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer it's killing me...and I do NOT like what those damn hospitals do either...I do not want my mother being killed off early so they can just get another paying patient in there...that is malpractice and they should be fu*king sued....I'm here for you brother...I have learned so much from you, I hope you still come around and help some of us out with your extensive knowledge..

all you guys have your own problems and to pray for me means a a lot. from mothers with cancer to dzone mom dying mother last yr my heart goes out to everyone out there on this board. just think a moment of your own mortality. we don't know if we are going to die in peace or from something bad. ill be on here helping you guys if you want my bbing help I just am so very unhappy right now . dam fg members it hurts. but thank everyone of you, you guys/ gals are the best and very spirit lifting listening to all the shit you all have gone through. god will reward you. iam at peace at the moment iam having a beer to just calm my nerves. I think its time to go back to see my therapist, shrink. god bless everyone of you and ill go down the line of post and pray for everyone who has lost a loved one.
