There has been a lot talk in my area on the radio and tv about women using hcg to lose weight. My wife even knows a women getting injections from her doctor that has lost 20lbs from using it. Have any of you heard or are familiar with this? Is it the same stuff guys are using during and after cycles to aid in recovery?

Re: Hcg as diet supplement?
Yea its the same stuff I know some guys swear by it but I think its a crock, part of this diet is having a 500 calorie diet... can't imagine why this stuff works. I know a guy that tried it and it didn't work at all
I think its one of those mental things, if you think its gonna work then it willLIFT BIG, EAT BIG, GET BIG!

Re: Hcg as diet supplement?
The woman my wife knows is actually having everything done by her doctor and has lost over twenty pounds. I don,t know what her diet looks like though. I was asking for my wife. I,ll tell her to just keep working hard. She has lost nearly 30pounds so far and thought of trying this if it may help get those last few pounds shes looking for. Thanks for your replies.

Re: Hcg as diet supplement?
Don't know how exctly this all works but I would say that once she begins eating more calories again, some weight will come back on. I would also think this could mess with a woman's hormones and our hormones get messed with enough as we age. Anyone would drop weight on 500 calories and I bet much of that weight would be muscle mass, the kind of weight we don't want to lose.Veritas Vos Liberabit

Re: Hcg as diet supplement?
I never realized that they cut there calories that bad. So I assume the hcg isn't doing anything to really aid in weight loss. The woman my wife knows is paying around $400 month for this crap. Her rebound when she quits will probably be horrible.
