  • Is creatine a good idea during cutting phase?

    Friends,
I have decided that I am going to try and get cut to the bone during April. I have my diet and cardio plan pretty much worked out, but while planning my supps I am scratching my head about creatine. Should I back off on the creatine until I'm off my cutting phase? Or should I keep it in my mix? I'm currently doing the basics: clean diet, V12, protein, creatine, and vitamins. I've just been on a gen'l lifting program, no cardio in a while.
    Thanx.

Some like it some dont. I usually use it while cutting to keep from sacraficeing muscle. The cons , it will make you hold water and make it tougher to lose some of the fat. To maximize quick fat loss dont use it. If you dont mind it takeing a little longer and want to keep most of your muscle I would say use it.

I use it when dieting and I don't hold very much water. Keep in mind, I'm only using 5 grams/day and drinking a gallon+ H2O.

Theres studies out there that actually show creatine is actually beneficial to lipolysis, but i does indeed give you the bloating look, I use it for the muscle prevervation functions and so I can keep my strength while cutting.

I use all the time lol cutting and bulking. Not to much during cutting cuz of the water bloat, but definatly for bulking.
