I have been dieting a bit over the past month or so. Since the time I started, I have dropped 11 lbs toward my goal. When I started, I weighed in at 192. I now weigh in at 181. My goal is to get to 160-155 and then put on about 10lbs or so of lean mass and I will be at my ideal weight. The kicker is that I just started doing cardio this week! Up until this week, the weight has all been associated with a cleaner diet. So, I am hoping that throwing in the cardio will get me to my goal much quicker.

You have been working on this for awhile. Congrats!! Keep up the good work. I think diet is number 1 and then comes exercise. You can exercise all you want but if you eat shitty, you win't get that body you want!Veritas Vos Liberabit

yep...diet should help you in reaching your goals!! cardio is a big step too!! i usually can minipulate my fat weight by diet and weight lifting...srping time i increase sets/reps and decrease rest periods...works for me. i havnt stepped on a treadmill or anythign in 4yrs...i bet if i did i'd even get better....too bad i'm entirely too lazy to find out, lolHE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!

Good work, keep it up. It's amazing how much effect just eating cleaner has. We don't really realize the junk we eat day to day.They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.

Yeah, I was never quite as strict with it as I have been lately and that's why my results have taken this long. I finally just told myself that it needs to be done and I am going to have to put the work in to get the results. So far so good. I can't wait to reach my weight goal so I can hit the weights and start adding the lean mass. I have never been "lean" and I want to get that way this time.
My diet is pretty good now. What helped a lot was that I finally got my wife on board. She is eating better and losing as well. It makes it much easier when both of you have the same mindset. Anyway, I will keep this updated as I go. I am going to weigh in again on Monday. The past few weekends have been trashed because of the holidays and what not, so I am hoping to be in the 170s when I weigh in Monday. It has been a while since I have seen the 170s!!

Just eating 5 sensible meals a day, drinking a protein shake with 4 of those meals, fruit, veggies, and lower carbs. That along with more water than I used to drink. And now I am starting to add cardio, so we will see how that affects it. Monday should give me a good idea as I will have done cardio 4 times by then.
If I can reach this goal, which includes getting this weight off and then adding the lean mass, I will forever be addicted to working out. I have worked out quite a bit in the past and I really don't think I was doing things right because the results were never really what they should have been. I have done a lot of reading over the past year and talked with guys like IA on his board and you guys on here (that includes Fuzo beating some bad things out of my head...LOL) and it is just all coming together. I haven't been too strict on counting calories or watching macros or anything with this one, but it is working so I am going to continue like I am. Once I get to my goal weight, I will be much more proactive on counting everything to make sure that I don't add crap weight and that I only add lean mass. But that is still a little while out. Awesome man. Not to throw out something crazy but me and the wife use CLA as part of our daily supplement intake. It doesn't show any signs real soon take over a month. But it is like overnight when it does hit you notice it is working. If you haven't tried it , it might help you out. It is not a stimulant at all. Helps loose belly fat... I love the stuff and I am very lean at 207lbs.

Yea man keep it up. Figuring out how to do things the right way is over half the battle imo. I see people in the gym everyday for years who always look the same and never seem to make any progress. You really just need to do the right exercises and get on a good meal plan. I have seen a lot of people as well who dont eat enough and are wondering why they arent getting gains or leaning out, food is sooooo important in this whole thing. I dont think most people realize how much u actually need to eat when eating clean.
