  • food or supplement to consume after rigorous cardio

    I play varsity lacrosse, and we run ALOT. I try to eat a big carb lunch b4 practice to get alot of energy. Anyway, after 2 weeks of practice, I thought that i would get REALLY low bf because of all this cardio. Instead, I am kind of thinner, but my definition is basically the same. I wonder if im losing muscle, i really dont know. What I wanna ask you guys is if there is something i should eat or consume ( food, protein powders, whatever) b4 or after practice that could sustain muscle mass or something like that. In any case, Pls jus give me some info on my situ.

    i use whey protein,deksrose,glutamin and creatin after training.works pritty good for me!

      Im real new at this kind of stuff, can you name the exact thing you eat or take. Im going to my local GNC tomorrow, so i want to know what to look for. I dont think i wanna get creatine (im only 16) but thx for the suggestions!! what were the other things you were suggesting.

        try too get products from optimum nutrition.i take 50 gram whey prot,50 gram gainer,40 gram dekstrose(it is fast acting carbohydrates),10 grams creatine,5 grams glutamin.ask 1 adult too bay creatine for you!

            1. Dont go to GNC. Order from DPSnutrition.com or another online store. Fitnessgeared .com will have alot of stuff soon and willbe a good place to buy.

            2. SLam a protien shake an hour after workout.Mix 7-10 grms of creatine 1/4 cup of dextrose in it,ALA is not bad here.No glutamine. I dont like it but if you are going to to take ,dont take it with Creatine.They fight for absorbtion fromwhat I have always heard.

            3.About an hour later have a small clean meal. With the glutamine

                Micillan is also a great protein, GNC does suck that is why they opened a store called Vitiman Shop, everything will be 40% for a long time. I am not sure if they have one around you guys but there is alot, i would check it out.
