  • Nutrient Partitioning

Does anyone try to partition their nutrients?
These damn cashew butter and jelly sandwiches are making me fight doing it lol!

I know it is best but have a hard time doing so. Just hoping some of you do to get some possibly new/better ideas on diet.

    Re: Nutrient Partitioning

what do you mean exactly? i just spread mine out over the day as evenly as possible with the exception of little to no carbs before bed but about 50g of protein with maybe 10g of carbs if that.

      Re: Nutrient Partitioning

I mean basically keeping meals so they are either protein with fat, or protein with carbs, never fat and carbs together

                Re: Nutrient Partitioning

Nutrient Partitioning directs dietary energy toward the lean compartment and not to fat stores. This is a way of having your food energy go toward building muscle while drawing on fat stores to fuel activity. Achieving this requires two things: First is a very specific eating program which supplies nutrients to build muscle, but not provide calories which are stored as fat. There are certain foods you should eat and specific foods you should definitely avoid. Meals must be structured according to strict parameters. Training is the second part of achieving nutrient partitioning. Training provides the stimulus to build muscle as well as activate the body's fat-burning pathways. By combining the nutrition and training aspects, the body's hormones are effected, causing a change in the way the muscle metabolism and fat metabolism is accomplished. By following the program, you can modify the hormonal environment in your body in such as way as to signal your muscles to grow and simultaneously lose fat.

                    Re: Nutrient Partitioning

That is good, you are pretty close to having it down if you just try to keep those with fats in them to no or trace carbs then thats it

thats how ive always eaten really, maybe that attributes to staying lean all the time i hadnt really thought about it too much to be honest. The concept seems sound though.
