  • creatine, timing q?

    Believe it or not never done creatine.

    Got some of the Syntrax Swole, directions are, twice a day, which is no biggie.

    Q: I work out in AM, get up about 4, have two cups of coffee and then work out for an hour, then get in my first meal.

    So, when would be best time to take my creatine in the AM based on those parameters.

    I tried to spread the times out equally(12 hours apart)It fit in my schedule I dont know about yours. Are you supposed to take that when yuo eat or doesnt it matter?

      That's what I'm trying to figure out what is best, pre-workout or post, and if post, before or after the meal.

      The 12 hours is not a problem, eat my five or six meals a day, and supps all day, so just another one to throw in the mix.

      Also, usually I do 5g of glutamine pre-workout, any conflict here.

          Trip, I just finished a jar of swole v2. You need to do it twice a day. Im pretty sure there is only 3 grams of creatine each serving. I do it first thing in the morning then immediatlt after workout. Since you workout in the morning I would do it just the same. Post workout in the morinig with protien shake. Then roughly 8 hrs later as the instructions say. swole is a little different animal than creatine and old creatine boosters(cell-tech).

            How did you like it? Any bloat? ( know you hate it, like me, lol )

            Hoping get no bloat on it. Good thing is I'm eating super clean and low sodium so I'm not holding very little water per say.

            We'll see, one more experiment in the making.

              I have not used Swole. But as far as creatine goes post workout is definitely the best time. The second time would just need to be before a meal, as it will increase insulin, which will increase absorption.

              No conflict with glutamine.

              I have never gotten bloated on creatine, while others swear they do.

              Most studies I have seen show that creatine is best absorbed with a 50/50 mix of protein and carbs.

              On the drive home from the gym I have my creatine mixed with dextrose, and I pop an ALA capsule. When I get home I drink a whey shake.

                I got no bloat but it didnt seem to be as effective as creapure/dextrose. It wasnt bad though. I could tell it helped sqeeze out another rep or 2.

                        Are u serious dude?!? You workout with only 2 cups of coffee in you?! So basicly an empty stomach??! I don't know what your goals are but if you want muscle gains, you shouldn't be doing that at all.

                          i rather work out on an empty stomach when possible. when i had no job i'd get up around 11, wake up, go straight to the gym, come home, begin eating.

                            hey trip, i'm up at 4am to lift also.

                              LOL, yeah, you know the dedicated, or is that demented

                              either way, once you get into the swing, which is tough, it is the best feeling, makes you pumped the whole day

                              been doing it since consistently for 15 yrs, on and off for the first 3 and then said, this is the only way
