Can anyone tell me if drinking moderate amounts of beer can interfere with your workout/muscle growth?
I thought I wanted a career, turns out, all I wanted was paychecks...

Question: So having an occasional drink (liquor not beer) won't interfere with a workout plan; or should you abstain from it totally while in on a cycle?

I dont think it would interfear much with gain but it will put extra stress on your liver. Make sure to get some milk thistle and ala.

                    Lets try thsi again...

Straight liquor does have fewer calories than beer, but is not really the calories of the drink that gets you. When you drink alcohol your body derives its energy differently than normal. The result being that you will not burn the calories in the drink or in any of the food you eat. They will be stored while your body burns the alcohol and something else.

Sorry I cannot remember the specific details or scientific jargon. I just remember the general idea.

It hindered my gains drastically! Then again, depends from person to person. Besides feeling bumed out the next day, it would make me feel crappy, not wanting to do shit. I used to have at least a 6 pack of CORONAS every fri or sat. night (mmmmmm) When i started my cycle i completely stopped. It's been 5wks that i have not even sipped on a drink! My improvements/motivation skyrocketed it!Plus, DBOL and ALCOHOL don't mix in my book! Wouldn't wanta risk it! I think it messes u up slowly but surely, then it gets harder if you wanta lean out! But i can't wait for one of these days to get crazy on some Corona's! LOL!

It does affect your body on a biological level. I don't remember the details but Muscle Media had a big article on it once. I do remember from anotehr article which suggested that light alcohol consumption helped lower bad cholesterol levels.

I personally have a beer or two with my off meal each week.

Everything in moderation... a few beers a few nights a week is NOT moderation (maybe to a hard core alcoholic!). Do the best you can. Maybe limit yourself to one night, MAX, and that night limit yourself to something like 3-4 beers, all light, or 3-4oz. of liquer, straight or mixed with diet drinks.

But to answer your question, if you keep it to a minimum, it really won't make much of a difference.
