  • Constant wrist pain...help

I have been working out for about five years now, and for the past four years or so my right wrist is not functional a week of each month due to terrible wrist pain. I have gotten it X-rayed and checked out by the doctor but they have not been very helpful. I know that Glucosamine and Chondroitin is a good combo but it is very expensive and I have to take a bunch of pills. I know some guys sell a more concentrated form or ALA and I was just wondering if there was anyway of getting a more concentrated amount of Gluco/Chond in a pill and if so, where can I get my hands on them? If not, then can someone tell me a good amount to take each day? Because sometimes these suggested use labels can be very modest . Also I saw someone mention MSM ( Methyl-Sufonyl-Methane), is this to be used in addition to the other two?

is it tendinitous? i had that in my wrist years ago.

as for glucosamine, try just that, without the chondroitin. you can get 1000mg capsules by now foods at dpsnutrition for around 15 dollars. its around a 100 to 200 count little container if i remember correctly.
Do you know where one builds action, stamina and guts? In the gym under the iron day after day, forever without fail or excuses or grumbling, that’s where. It’s true. I read a study somewhere and that’s what it said, really.

There’d be fewer battles, less drugs and less crime and more happy moms and dads if we all lifted weights… let’s face it. In what recent medical journal was I reading that?

You could also try gloves with wrist straps if you dont already use them.

you said that the combos were expensive (which they are) and you had to take alot of pills. years ago i had a constant pain in my knee and i couldnt afford the glus/chond combos so i just used glusc and it worked for me. that led me to believe its just as good as the combos (and cheaper when taken by itself.)

also, though i dont have any solid facts to back this up, i have read that chond just piggybacks on glus and offers no real benefit. again i cant back this up, it was just an opinion.

the supp i suggested is one 1000mg capsule. some you have to take 3 or 4 to get 1500mg. so you avoid alot of pills.

I get the same thing when I lift very heavy, last time it lasted for six months, Besides glucosamine and chondroiten, vioxx and motrin helped me out alot. I liked vioxx better becuase it didn't make me sleepy and I had worked my way up to 25 motrins a day.
