  • Protein mid sleep? NEcessary?

I usually eat 1 pound of cottage cheese before bed but I heard its also good to drink a quick 25-30 grams of protein half way through sleep. This will spike nitrogen levels when sleeping I was told. Is this true? Should I start drinking some protein mid sleep? Thanks!

i think deep uninterupted sleep is more important
I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul

No, nocturnal feeding is highly over rated, You need 8 hours of unbroek sleep for the GH release and evolutionary reasons, if you're really eating 1 pound of cottage cheese, thats more than enough. (I hope its fat free and sugar free cottage cheese)

No its 2% and it has some carbs. About 18 grams for the entire pound of cheese. It only tacs on less than 100 calories between the fat and the carbs. Ive been doing it for awhile now and im still losing fat... Is it that bad to eat alittle fat and carbs before bed?

You do NOT need a full 8 hours sleep for GH release. Try 2-4. Oh yeah, evolutionary reasons? Care to explain?

In any event, I wouldn't wake myself up intentionally, but if you do wake up in the middle of the night, suck down about 20 grams. I wouldn't do much more though.

i have been making a shake before going to bed 40-50 grams protien. If i get up i drink half then the other half in the morning before cardio. I do not make myself get up for it but if i wake up i drink it.

I agree that sleep is more important, but I always have to wake up to pee after 4 hours anyway, so when I start cycle I may have a pre-made shake every now and again.

Tried waking up in the middle of the nite and poundin back a drink, was always tired and felt "small"
When I went back to sleeping through, I actually felt better.
