Re: What motivates or drives you to keep training?
Setting goals, achieving them and in seeing my body change. Of course when doing weights and then like 5 dudes start lifting next to you...well it is kinda odd lol
The gym pulled me out of the darkest days of my life which spiraled into 24/7 drinking after my first wife passed. It became my place, I controlled it, it was mine. It has dealt me many blows, torn rotator for example. But even then, it had my back. My wife was my surgical nurse for my surgery, well she wasn't my wife yet then. She was just a very kind, caring, beautiful nurse who said everything was gonna be all right. She has since proven that by becoming my girlfriend, now my wife and the mother of my beautiful baby girl. They drive me to train, to be better. And I've always got my mentor, the man behind the curtain pulling the strings. I have a ton of reasons that motivate me, just have to realize they exist.

I love the way it makes me feel and how I get to watch my body change. But also for the ones that tell me I cant do it. That say Im to old and I need to give it up. For the haters that talk shit behind my back!!! First and foremost to show my kids you never stop pushing forward and to always strive for greatness!!!

Just wanted to thank everyone who posted to this.
As of today I've been back at it for at least 3 weeks now. Things are turning around fast. Its not like I let myself go and turned into the blob. I pretty much maintained my body weight but traded some muscle for fat. Now things are quickly reversing. Starting to feel a lot better in general. Lifts are slowly climbing back up again but just trying not to over do it. This was the longest time I've been out of the gym other than the occasional week or two off. Was a good 8+ months.

I never meant to be better than anyone, I was just born that way. Its hard being a god amongst peasants!
I'm the only guy at an all women gym. They complained at first so now I wear warm up suits and a wig. Don't bothered with the lip stick though. Can't really find a shade Im happy with.
