  • forearm/bicep?

A couple of months ago I was lifting a rather heavy object at work. Using a grip and lifting upward with my left hand. I immediately felt pain in my forearm. I thought I just pulled something, but I'm not so sure now what I did. I can not flex my bicep. Trying to curl without assistance is impossible and I get no squeeze in the left bicep because, well, I can't flex the muscle. Constant pain just below the inside of the elbow joint. Did I tear the ulna nerve? Did I separate nerve from bone? Any input would be greatly appreciated. This is gettin worrisome. I know I'm not helping my cause by continuing to work out with it...but I'm kinda in the middle of sumpin(feel me?) Thanx in advance

nope sounds like you nailed your distal tendon zoot. that is bad stuff. all the strength in the bicep comes from the distal tendon. you need to get in and have an mri done and look at getting surgery done asap. i had a partial tear in mine a while back and it is a very delicate area. i am going to have mine fixed next year as a just in caser. not a full tear on mine either. that sucks and yes the pain from a distal injury is felt in the forearm. the advice i got from the surgeon was absolutely no resistance at all when turning my wrist with that arm, not even a screw driver. that will sever it completely in my case. he is not a surgeon that will jump right on cutting you either but he wants mine fixed after this season for sure.

I go with wat GUNS said its the tendon. I have the same thing. I just wrap it with knee wraps real tight on every set. I don't want a zipper on my arm yet. but have it checked to be sure. its only 3 holes and they can reattach it, if you tore it off slightly.

brother if your bicep didnt roll up to your shoulder it is a partial detach. now you have to do what unclem and i do. rest that puppy up and be very careful with every movement you do that involves your bicep. i make for damn sure i warm up really good and dont let myself cool down at all regardless of what i am training

the surgeon i consulted with told me that the incisions they make now are tiny unclem. he says it isnt invasive and nasty like it was a few years ago. no muscle damage or deformities at all and a tiny scar.

From what I've read partial seems like the case. There was no pop or bruising. And only certain movements hurt, I WILL STOP THOSE MOVEMENTS....LOL. I wrap it good at the gym but it's certain lifts that aggravate it more than others, I'm such a stubborn ass I just think it will go away and I know better. Thanx man
