Re: Inguinal Hernia Surgery - Recovery Log
Days 5 and 6:
Combining days 5 and 6 since they were New Year's Eve and New Year's Day lol. I feel like I'm definitely over the hump. Everything is improving a lot each day. The pain and overall soreness is pretty much gone. I still get tweaks here and there if I move too fast or turn a certain way, but nothing horrible. Going to the bathroom feels normal again. No more uncomfortable peeing. Still can't push when taking a number 2, but the pain and soreness is gone.
I've cut out the Miralax and colace, but still use the sugar free Metamucil every night.
I can get up and down on my own now and walk around more freely. I can still tell when I get close to overdoing it though. I walked outside some and could definitely tell when I needed to come back in. I've been sleeping propped up, but switched back to lying flat last night which is much more comfortable. I couldn't sleep very well propped up, but now that I'm getting a better night's sleep I'm hoping my healing speeds up even more.
The doc said I could drive if I felt up to it after a week, but I think I may wait another day or so before I attempt that. I have a truck and not sure how it's going to go try and climb up in that lol.
