  • Thirst: Our brains tell us when to stop drinking

Our bodies keep a tight check on our water levels to stop us from dehydrating. But how do we know when we are thirsty and when we have drunk enough?

beer has water in it, so it has to be part of the equation, right?

Water is one thing I can never get enough of. Since I can remember I have always drank almost if not over a gallon everyday since high school ( I'm 45).
Side note, I always drink it at room temperature unless it's blazing hot out. Super cold water gives me a headache and upsets my stomach

i drink 2 to 2 and a half gal a day. i was also taught in hot/cold weather training that your body uses and process room temp water more effectively than hot or cold water because it doesnt want to work to heat or cool it down. so if you drink super cold or hot water it will just come right back out as pee. dont know how much science is behind it but that's what they preached to us and i have done so ever since
