So if I'm trying to cut fat and drop some Lbs is fruit good or bad? Watermelon, strawberries, apples, melons, ect. Is it too much sugar or is the sugar in fruit ok? I really llike to snack on watermelon or strawberries and have always thought of them as a healthy snack, but have been told lately that is part of why I am not dropping as fast as I want because of all the sugar in the fruit. I have changed my workouts to more of a circuit instead of heavy like I prefer due to my shoulder and figured it would be better for a cut, but really want my diet in check also. Thanks for any help peeps.

Re: Fruit or no fruit
I'm not a competitor so I do t do extreme carb cutting but when I want to drop some weight I hit a complex carb for my first meal like oatmeal or kashi cereal. Then my preworkout has a bit of carbs and then I will allow myself one or two pieces of fruit along with my post workout meal. I try to drop all starchy carbs and fruits after about 1 pm. I still allow myself nuts, natural peanut butter and some milk so I don't lose my mind. That's how I do it.

Re: Fruit or no fruit
Fruits have an abundance of good vitamins and nutrients. I think in moderation, it is fine. I would doubt just cause you are eating fruit that it is the reason you cant lose more? I have found apples to be a recommended fruit and it is best to eat them on an empty stomach. If you like a more tart, less sweet apple, have a green one (granny smith) they will make you pucker, lol.
Maybe enjoy your fruits before dinner hours and cut them out in the evening?Veritas Vos Liberabit

Re: Fruit or no fruit
thanks for the responses. Believe me I know that the fruit is not my only problem that is just one of the things that was pointed out to me that I questioned.“To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”

Re: Fruit or no fruit
I dont compete but I eat a little fruit everyday and I've been leaning up a little lately. I usually eat a banana before and after I workout, sometimes I have one or some berries with breakfast too.Animal the manimal
