    I would rather do caloric restriction. High carbs for me means more fat on my middle.

        I was raised vegetarian and didn't eat any meat until I was in late teens. My only significant protein sources were eggs,milk,cheese,nuts and beans. I ate tons of fruit and vegetables, oats,bread,rice and pasta. Basically a high carb low protein diet.
        This type of diet sounds horrible to most gym rats but when my older brother was 19 he flipped a truck at 98mph he broke over 10 bones bones and was on life support for weeks. The emergency trauma surgeon told my parents he was the HEALTHIEST person he had ever operated on. To me that is proof that a low protein high carb diet has great health benefits. I was unaware that rsitricted caloric diets had positive effects on the brain. Good read thanks for post
