if you are running log then you can go im but it is going to hit you way faster and you cant gauge it as well. same goes for r as well. that isnt science backed though that is my opinion and i am much more comfortable with sub q than im. as for protein and carbs you want both during the window. the biggest thing you have to watch is fat intake. you want as close to zero fat intake as possible during the active window of insulin
