You hear so many different opinions on how long to run cycles I wanted to get some opinions on what you guys think?
The reason I ask this is... I have run between 10 and 20 week cycles and usually take an equal amount of time off in between (with the exception of the 20 week one) and the 20 week one yeided the best results. I'm sure you are saying no s#*t firstenrgy but the odd part was my liver enzymes were never high throughout the 20 week one and my recovery of test levels were almost identical to the shorter cycles. Soooooo, I ask, what are your experiences?

Very similiar to yours. Based on what ive read and my own results i think the body actually resets it set points for LBM while doing a longer cycle. For me after doing a cycle 20 weeks or longer i lose veru little at the end. A few pnds of water and thats about it. For me the PCT was also no harder then after a short cycle but i do like to use HCG the whole cycle durations so the boys are nice and full when its time for them to go back to work.

I love longer cycles especially when using long esters.

well i've done 60 week cycles and i've done 12 week cycles. my cycles from this point on will be 15-20. no less no more. your liver bein fine is of no surprise. what was ur cholesterol. thats a biggie. if you choose to run a long cycle you gotta make sure your hdls don't get too low. a messed up lipid profile and high blood pressure at the same time could really mess u up. so make sure u have it monitored. if ur gonna run a long cycle blood work DURING is a must. don't take chances. as for recovery i'm not the greatest example cause i never really stayed off for long. but i would have time off = at least 12-15 weeks after a long cycle. my last was very long. after 3 months off my test was 350

I myself wouldn't go over 15wks, unless doing a gh cycle, which i would add a low level testosterone depot.

Short cycles mean that you will reap the best part of your gains from the cycle (because they happen in the first 6-8 weeks) and you will also be able to take less time off between cycles (we know it's really hard to stay off....). However, it will be harder to keep the gains you have made when coming off, because your body is not used to that much muscle. Your recovery will also be much easier then if you stayed on for extended periods of time.

Long cycles mean that you will be able to let your body get used to the new gains from the cycle and hopefully be able to keep them all or almost all after you come off. You will need to take a longer time off between cycles, it will be harder to recover from, and you risk permanently affecting your HPTA.

With that said, I have recently switched to doing blast and cruise cycles.... It is kind of a happy medium between the two ways of cycling above. You run a short cycle (say 6-8 weeks) then cruise (run a low dose of test, while taking your PCT drugs) to try and recover to some extent (and to keep all gains from previous cycle) then run another short cycle again (called blasting). Doing things in this manor allow you to take 2 steps forward, hold, then take 2 steps forward again. As oppose to taking two steps forward and then one back like regular cycling usually causes..... This method of cycling is from DC's (Doggcrapp's) readings. If your interested in learning more about it, you should search some sites for his stuff, there is tons out there.
How long is the cruise phase? Just during your PCT or is it longer. I know most PCT is about 3 weeks.

To answer your question tho, the length of your cruise depends on the length of your blast..... If you blast 6 weeks then 3 weeks cruise would probably be enough, if you blast 8 weeks then you would need a little longer cruise... Usually a 2:1 blasting to cruising ratio is pretty good, but it depends on the person and can be personalized a bit...
Thanks bro! I'm gonna have to find more on it.

hey one cycle that i am about to try that i read about is called phase cycling.....heavy androgens for no more than 4 weeks then start to taper down to low androgenic very anabolic substance...this must be timed very precisely.....this is due to the fact that once androgens r introduced in the body starts to werk against itself(catabolize). one major hormone that is put out is cortisol which is very catabolic...if u figure out the esters in ure juice and time it precisely to take an anti cortisol such as remeron u can counteract these effects...u cant do this for too long because like eveything ure body will adapt..while ure doing this(right after ure androgenic phase...u do ure absolute anabolic phase i would prefer to take anabolic substances such as slin,gh igf-1 or pgf2a alone or in some combination depending on finacial situation and most importantly if ure source has these things to keep packing on the mass...of course after the juice u will need to take such things as liquidex or nolva for estrogen and clomid post cycle...then the best part is since u were in and out on everything u can start the cycle all over again....i will be posting a well written explanation along with some examples
