TweetWell, in his defense, nick pushes the pace like no other. In reading his interviews, I feel like this was comIng with a loss. He kept talking about his daughters and not believing his hype anymore. He has done enough. I agree that if you can't fight at the top level anymore, then what's the point. He's a legend and has no reason to hang his head. I hate that he's leaving but I think it's time.

I guess I'll be rooting for Diaz for sure now that he's taken out my favorite fighter.

TweetFuzo, he was emotional because he knew that was going to be his last fight. You can't blame a man for wanting to spend more time with his family than training.

Tweethe is just so naturally talented physically but he wont take that to 100% in his training. he said he likes to surf and be with his family. now days you have to train to compete at the top. BJ is a true warrior. he busted up nick and nick busted him up. great fight. would have been better if BJ got his diet right and did cardio to the max.

TweetHe has time and ability. It's the drive he is lacking to do the work to get where he needs to be. I think he is done. I hope he fights again but he has said in the past that once he decides it's over, then it's over and he won't be back. Maybe it was his emotions talking. I won't take it as a done deal until he gives it a few days and then decides.

He got whooped cause he can't get his cardio together, that is his own damn fault tho. This is the first fight I really wanted BJ to win, but he always has to be the most inconsistent fighter with his conditioning. And, yea he def isn't coming back. It said hes retired on yahoo and wiki.

He has talked about this for a while. A baby, really? The guy was fighting at this level before GSP or any of the top fighters now came along. Hell, it's time for him to retire if he wants. How many careers do you see last as long as his has? I don't blame him for not wanting to go home and let his daughters see him like that. He got beat because Nick was better. It wasn't BJ's normal cardio issues. If that were the case, he would have just stood there like he did against GSP. He was throwing until it was over. He caught a knee early and some BIG body shots...that will take the breath from any fighter.

At least he isn't going to stick around and take beating after beating like Chuck did.

Hopefully you are right. But I don't want to see him end up like Randy where he retires on week and then comes back and the retires and then comes back.
