TweetI was surprised by the fight. Lesner isn't really what I would call a 'good' fighter. He's just HUGE and has a tough jaw. This was the first time I saw him actually use some technique in a fight instead of just sitting on someone. Carwin fought him well, however he doesn't train for a long enough fight.. He is used to going one round and it showed that he trains for one round. Had he had the stamina to go hard longer... I don't think Lesner could have won. IMO. Either way.. they are both strong guys and I'd hate to piss 'em off! LOL

If they do fight again and thats if they do sure carwin might fight different but so will brock. But now that brock he revealed to everyone carwins huge flaw who knows if he can win the next fight. Now that the fight is over with I wont count brock out any fight now. He has proven he has a chin big time he can take a beating and survive.And he gets better every time he fights.

This statment is confusing because if he isnt a good fighter how does he have the hw belt and is the champ. That means he beat good fighters,mir,randy,heath,shane. Whether he layed on them or not he controlled them and beat them down isnt that what fighters want to do is control the other fighter and win. So who cares if its from kicks or pounches from laying on top of someone. and he layed on top of mir and pounded him out and heath,but with heath he showed his wrestling more. He ko'd randy on his feet.I can really say that shane isnt a really good fighter because he cat go for more then a round and only has a 1 punch method of winning. Would you rather have great cardio as brock and go 5 rounds and wrestle someone and have great power or have 1 punch power and not be able to go 2 rounds without gassing.I'll take the figthter who can go 5 rounds great powwer great wrestling.You know the media or the fighting news world made shane out to be this great wrestler but have we seen his wrestling skills,NO because he is able to punch someone who has there gaurd down and the majority of his fights werent with top notch fighters. Some of you might think I like to argue well I dont I like to present the facts.And the facts are
1,shane has no cardio
2,hasnt fought alot of top fighters
3,his record sounds better then it is
4,if he doesnt connect he's finished

So why does everyone think shane is that good then,maybe you can say he's average and its the job of dana and the nedia to hype up the fights to make them look god. And shiznick just because for a split second smeone says they didnt know where they were doesnt mean the person went out just means they were rattled. Just like the elbow brock through aganst randy. His legsa wobbled and his brain got ratled but recovered. Someone said that shane gave up well if he did the he's not champ material you never give up you fight until the death and any great fighter would of went out instead of tappiung thats how I feel. And there re fighters who will not tap out there

I am still wondering about Lesnar's standup. It looked terrible against Carwin. When Carwin hit him, he looked scared to death and was running backwards. He can take a shot obviously, and his ground game is getting better, but his standup didn't look good. He needs to work on that for sure before Cain....Cain will eat him alive on the feet with that performance

The difference is he is facing strikers now. Your standup is not going to look bad against non-strikers. Carwin doesn't have good standup, just power. Cain and Dos Santos have really good standup. I am just stating the facts, he looked bad in the Carwin fight and needs to tighten up before he fights Cain.

Do I have to state that when the fight only really lasted 1 round? I am not considering the 2nd because nothing really happened.

Randy Couture is not a great striker by any means....not to mention he is a 205lb fighter. It's not bashing. It's stating facts. When you are the champ, you are going to get have people critique everything you do. Everyone cares if he loses now. He will be just another Forrest Griffin if he loses now. You know, where you somehow get the title until you start facing top guys. It will be make a huge difference if he gets beat by a truly tested top HW. It's not amazing, it's the way the sport goes. Top athletes are under the microscope.

I actually think the opposite on this one. I have read too many articles about Carwin's cardio. That added to the fact that he trains in high altitude means the guy has cardio. I think it will end early, but if it goes rounds (going only by what I have read because we haven't seen him fight out of the first) I think he will get stronger as it goes.

Where was I wrong? All I had to go by was what I have read. Have you seen any of Carwin's fights go more than 1 round? It ended early, I got that right. So if I read where everyone says that Carwin has cardio, I will believe it. Why should I not believe? Why should I have believed that he didn't have cardio? Before a fight, you make predictions based on profiling, which is what I did.

Hell, anyone can say he didn't have cardio AFTER they saw the fight....doesn't take a rocket scientist. I am not bashing Brock....I am stating the obvious. I don't care what he proves...but if you make bold statements about being the best, you need to beat the best.

Okay, so now it just beating the best at that time.....that is exactly what Fedor has done in the past. He has fought the best that he could at the time. It's Dana's fault he is fighting in the UFC. But when Fedor does it, he is over rated.

I disagree with the comment about MMA guys being wrong. Their job is to know as much about fighters as they can. Their correct % beats our correct % into the dirt. Otherwise, people would become rich from betting.

Brock was the favorite and was the obvious choice to win....those are the easy ones to pick.
