TweetMan i don't know, thats a lot of hurt for not that much money..
TweetLooks like Rampage had one hell of a payday!!!MMAWeekly has obtained the fighter salary information from the Nevada State Athletic Commission for UFC 92 featuring Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans, which took place on Saturday, Dec. 27, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that promoters are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners' bonuses.
Although mixed martial arts fighters do not have collective bargaining or a union, the fighters' salaries are still public record, just as with every other major sport in the United States. Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter also pays its fighters, but does not disclose to the athletic commissions (specifically, pay-per-view bonuses, fight of the night bonuses, etc.), are not included in the figures below.
In the listings below, "Main Event Fighters" are defined as fighters who compete in the main event of a show. "Main Card Fighters" are defined as fighters whose fights appear on the main card, but not in the main event. "Preliminary Card Fighters" are defined as fighters whose matches take place before the live broadcast goes on the air, regardless of whether or not those matches end up airing on the TV or Internet broadcast.

TweetIt depends. If you make your way to the top, and get to a point where you can sign a descent contract....you can make some big cheese. Sub of the night, fight of the night, KO of the night, are very nice bonuses. Not to mention the cut they get from the PPV buys.

TweetWell, as little as scars, permanent knee injuries, neck problems, etc.Usually fixable and comes with the sport but i have met some of these kids who now seem "slow", not Dzone slow (he he) but take a bit to answer questions, things like that. I think it has alot to do with what goes on during training not so much the actual fights themselves. I just think some of these guys may need the money later in life.
TweetHell yeah some of that money they earn will go to surgeries and insurance premiums.and when they get older some of them will need more surgeries and unless your working and your work gives you insurance then you will be fine. but then you will have to take off work and not get paid. so yes the money earned should be socked away in a injury type bank account, lol

TweetDang those are weak salaries. Check this article out:
https://boxing.fanhouse.com/2008/04/2...than-floyd-ma/
It says UFC Fighters combined make less than Floyd Mayweather!
TweetI worked with a buddy who fought all over the world. He said he was offered a UFC contract, he could only fight for the UFC when contracted. Doesn't sound too bad but he said that that would amount to $5,000 a year and maybe one fight a year! He said he would have to keep working which than would have gotten in the way of training. He had a wife a two kids so there was no way he could do it.
I think the money is good once you are at the very top but most never make it there.
